Firstly I’d like to say.. Happy Chinese New year everyone!

As you may, or may not, know already one of us (Scott), moved far across the world a few months ago to live in a relatively new city known as Shenzhen. Shenzhen is situated in the Guangdong Province in southern China and has only become heavily populated in the last 35 years. Originally a market town with population of around 30,000 people, after 1979 when Shenzhen achieved city status the population soared and it now stands at over 10,000,000!

Now, as you can imagine due to this rapid growth, there are an endless number of places to eat that all sell their own unique chinese dishes. For this reason we thought it would be appropriate to document all the interesting and unique foods that we have discovered and share them with everyone…because as they say.. sharing is caring! It will also highlight how vastly different the food culture is from the UK.

Over the course of 2017, there will be several blog posts not only showing the origins of the numerous regional chinese cuisines and giving some factual information about different dining styles but there will be reviews of some weird and wacky dishes that have been discovered on the streets of China!

So the purpose of this introductory blog post is to get you all super excited about all the new content we have coming over 2017… from learning about China to some other secret projects we have in the pipeline!
